The Goodwood Revival, 18-20th September 2009

A problem on the way to Goodwood with a broken throttle linkage meant that we had to call for help. We were taken to their garage in Newbury where the mechanics miraculously manage to weld the little bits together and get us on our way. We lost a few hours but still managed to make our dinner reservation at The Kennels.

The Mercedes 300SLR in which Moss and 'Jenks' won the 1955 Mille Miglia; 1000 miles on public roads at an incredible average of nearly 98 mph. Behind is a W126. The cars were generously loaned by the museum in Stuttgart for display. A priceless pair. Himself has signed the bodywork

Alan Ross-Jones' 1963 TR4 was entered in the Fordwater Trophy but unfortunately dropped out after only six laps while running a strong third. A really nice Alfa Monza - want one of those too !!!
